We combine these technologies with strict security practices and only deploy the minimum necessary cookies to run game sessions, remember preferences and improve the experience.

Campaign attribution cookies that show which channel a signup came from.
Social media pixels that support optional retargeting for upcoming releases.
Email engagement measurement limited to anonymised open and click rates.

First-party cookies we set

These cookies are delivered directly by Masqora and never shared with advertisers.

session_id

Purpose: Maintains an active host session while you manage lobbies and clues.

Duration: Expires when you sign out or close your browser.

Type: First-party, strictly necessary

masqora_preferences

Purpose: Stores language, consent choices and recent lobby preferences.

Duration: Persists for 13 months or until you clear cookies.

Type: First-party, functional

masqora_analytics

Purpose: Captures aggregated usage metrics that help us balance feature load.

Duration: 24 hour rolling window.

Third-party providers

We partner with a small set of infrastructure providers that may set their own cookies or similar identifiers when delivering the service.

Supabase

Provides authentication, secure databases and file storage for Masqora.
Supabase cookies maintain your login state and enforce role-based permissions.

Data is stored in EU data centres and is never sold or shared with advertisers.

You can disable analytics cookies at any time from the Cookie Preferences button shown in the footer of every page.

Masqora mobile app

The companion mobile app uses secure device storage instead of browser cookies. It is limited to:

Caching the lobby PIN so you can reconnect quickly after a disconnect.
Storing a hashed device identifier for push notifications and live updates.
Remembering in-session settings such as microphone mute state.
Saving optional accessibility preferences locally on the device.

Managing your cookies

Adjust or withdraw consent at any time via the Cookie Preferences button at the bottom of every Masqora page.

Open "Cookie Preferences" at any moment to review or update your selections. The drawer appears automatically in regions where consent is required.

Impact of disabling cookies

Blocking or deleting cookies may limit certain Masqora features.

You may need to sign in each time you join or host a session.
Saved lobby preferences, favourites or progress may not persist.
Live timers, audio cues or connection quality indicators could desynchronise.
Analytics opt-outs reduce our ability to tune puzzles and performance.

Children and teenagers

Masqora is intended for players aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly place cookies for children and encourage guardians to manage browser settings for younger players.

International users

If you access Masqora from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom we rely on consent for all non-essential cookies, respect 13 month retention windows and honour data subject requests.

California residents can use the "Do Not Sell or Share" toggle in the Cookie Preferences drawer to opt out of cross-context behavioural tracking.

Policy updates

We update this policy when we introduce new features or new vendors. Significant changes will be announced in-product before they take effect.
