Acceptance of terms

Masqora ("Masqora") provides collaborative mystery games across web, mobile and live facilitator tools. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are under the age of 18 you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.

Account responsibilities

You must maintain accurate account information and protect your login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

• Keep your password confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
• Do not share accounts or sell access to Masqora sessions.
• Use only one account per individual unless we approve additional facilitator profiles.

Permitted use and community conduct

Masqora is designed for cooperative storytelling. You agree not to misuse the platform or disrupt other players.

• No harassment, hate speech, bullying or threatening behaviour.
• No cheating, script tampering or attempts to reverse engineer restricted areas.
• No uploading of unlawful, defamatory, obscene or infringing content.
• Do not impersonate Masqora staff or other community members.
• No spamming, phishing or distribution of malware.

Digital purchases and subscriptions

Masqora sells access to digital stories, character packs and facilitator subscriptions. Prices are displayed before checkout and may vary by region.

Taxes will be added where required by law. Recurring subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through your Masqora account or the platform where you purchased.

Refunds and chargebacks

Refund requests are handled according to our Refunds & Cancellations Policy. Chargebacks on valid purchases may result in suspension of your account and loss of access to digital content.

• Contact support before initiating a chargeback so we can investigate the issue.
• Repeated chargebacks or fraud may lead to permanent termination of the account.
• Third-party platform purchases (Apple, Google) must follow the respective store policies.

Intellectual property

Masqora owns all rights in the platform, stories, artwork and brand assets. We grant you a limited, non-transferable licence to access and use Masqora for personal entertainment or facilitated events.

You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from Masqora content without written permission.

User generated content

You may submit custom clues, chat messages or other content while using Masqora. You retain ownership of that content but grant Masqora a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and improve the service with it.

You confirm that you have the right to share any content you submit and that it does not infringe the rights of others.

Beta features and feedback

We may grant early access to experimental tools. These features are provided "as is" and may change or be removed at any time.

Feedback you provide about Masqora can be used without restriction to improve the product.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Masqora is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Masqora and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for access in the 12 months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using Masqora at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, use the service unlawfully or create risks for other players.

Upon termination you must stop using Masqora and we may delete or restrict access to your content, subject to legal obligations.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict of law principles, unless mandatory laws in your country require otherwise.

Dispute resolution

We encourage you to contact support to resolve any issue. If a dispute cannot be settled informally the following options are available:

• Mediation or arbitration in Madrid, Spain, following recognised ADR rules.
• Consumer protection bodies or small claims courts with appropriate jurisdiction.
• Injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property or prevent misuse.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect.

Apple App Store terms

If you download Masqora from the Apple App Store you acknowledge that Apple is not responsible for providing support, and Apple is not liable for any claims related to the app.

Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them if needed.
